Sex can keep your heart healthy. According to the study conducted by the University of Queens, having sex at least three times a week reduces the risk of having a heart attack by half. Sex also lowers blood pressure which helps prevent cardiovascular diseases.

3 It helps relieve stress

As your blood pressure lowers, your stress levels lower with it. After having sex, we feel lighter, less stressed and it’s easier to deal with problems like that. Even if we get a bit nervous, our blood pressure does not increase much. Making love is definitely the best way to relax after long day at work.

As we reach a climax, our endorphin and oxytocin levels increase – our bodies produce five times more of the love hormone. Oxytocin is a kind of neurotransmitter, a carrier responsible for deepening bonds.

Research shows that men who ejaculate regularly are 30% less likely to develop prostate cancer. Ejaculation resulting from sexual intercourse or masturbation helps with emptying the prostate which helps reduce the risk of cancer.

8 It’s a great workout

Having sex might not make you lose tons of weight but it definitely increases your pulse and helps with blood flow so your body starts to burn fat. A 30-minute sweat sesh in the bedroom burns 85-200 calories so if you have sex daily for a year, you might lose up to 5 kgs. And it’s definitely much more enjoyable than running on the treadmill.
